Support across every stage of the reproductive journey
My integrative approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, psychodynamic insight, EMDR, and supportive counseling — offering both practical tools and deeper emotional understanding. Drawing from several therapeutic approaches allows my sessions to be responsive, supportive, and grounded in what is most helpful in the moment.
Services
Individual and Couples Therapy
I work with individuals and couples at all stages of the reproductive journey, including LGBTQIA+ couples and single parents. Therapy can support emotional coping, communication, alignment around decisions, and ease the strain that reproductive challenges often place on relationships and identity.
Infertility Counseling and Support
Infertility can bring chronic stress, grief, anxiety, and a sense of loss of control. I help clients cope with the emotional demands of infertility and treatment as well as provide decisional support around next steps, including IVF and other assisted reproductive technologies — offering a thoughtful space to process options, values, and emotional readiness.
Pregnancy Loss
I provide compassionate support for individuals and couples navigating miscarriage, stillbirth, or termination for medical reasons (TFMR). Therapy offers space to process grief, trauma, guilt, anger, and sadness without judgment or pressure to "move on" – while supporting healing and meaning-making at your own pace.
Third-Party Reproduction
Third-party reproduction can raise complex emotional, relational, and identity-related questions. I support clients considering or using egg, sperm, or embryo donation, as well as gestational surrogacy, helping them navigate emotional readiness, ethical concerns, relationship dynamics, and long-term considerations.
I also offer donor recipient/intended parent psychoeducational consults and comprehensive psychological evaluations of gamete donor and gestational carrier candidates.
Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health
Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring emotional vulnerability, even when long-awaited. I work with clients experiencing complex pregnancies, perinatal mood or anxiety disorders, birth trauma, NICU experiences, or adjustment challenges, offering support that acknowledges both the joy and difficulty of this transition.
EMDR
EMDR is an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach that is typically more focused and time-limited than other therapeutic methods.
Sometimes the brain encodes traumatic memories in ways that interfere with proper recovery. EMDR helps the brain complete that interrupted healing process. It doesn't necessarily require retelling every detail of what happened. During EMDR, you access traumatic memories in a targeted, structured way. Using bilateral stimulation - such as guided eye movements or tapping - alongside your therapist's support, EMDR helps you reprocess the memory itself. Over time, recalling the event stops feeling like reliving it, and the emotions attached to it become far more manageable.
